Demo: Why Won’t This Dog Cooperate?

Sunday, June 27, 2021 8:30 am–9:30 am Swiss Suite

Dogs not standing up or not standing still has long been the bane of pet groomers worldwide. Pets that are perceived as uncooperative or difficult may, actually, be uncomfortable or physically unable to behave as we would like. This struggle can become time-consuming and frustrating for both the groomer and the dog.
Understanding a dog’s correct structure and how a dog can, or cannot, move their bodies can dramatically change the way we handle the pets; making grooming more comfortable for the pet and easier on the groomer. Teri will explore the correct canine structure and how to recognize, and deal with, less than perfect pets. Alternative handling methods will be discussed.
With a clearer understanding of “why things happen”, we can move forward with a better understanding of “how to make it work”.
