Semi-Permanent Color Certification Through The Creative Groomers Association
Presented by Lori Craig and Angela Kumpe
This is a four-hour class that will teach you how to properly look up products, important safety procedures, market your creative services, pricing, and will give you hands on experience with semi-permanent color dye. Angela and Lori will cover how to apply color to short coats and long coats as well as how to make designs, stencils and more. At the end of the class you will each participate in a hands on practical to ensure you feel secure to add these services to your business. You will receive a certificate of completion with Creative Groomers Association, Semi-Permanent Color Course.

Demo: Grooming the Doodle
Presented by Chris Pawlosky
Chris will share techniques and detailed grooming information on these popular designer dogs. She will demonstrate when, where and how to use scissors, clippers, and universal comb attachments.    We will also discuss how to handle the client and creating a trim that will please both you and your clients.

Demo: Introduction To The Biewer Terrier
Presented by Jonathan David
Many groomers are seeing more and more of these cute little dogs and Jonathan is regularly answering inquiries about the breed and grooming. Jonathan is a breeder and exhibitor of the now AKC recognized Biewer Terrier. Working closely with the American Kennel Club, he was pivotal in bringing this breed into the AKC. This is a don’t miss seminar for anyone curious about the breed, it’s history and common grooming styles!

Demo: The Timeless Spiral Trim
Presented by Dawn Omboy
A tribute to Jerry Schinberg, the spiral trim was first done by Lynette Jacobsen in 1981 at the Atlanta Pet Fair. Learn more about the beginning of this timeless classic that was the basis of creative styling as we know it today. In this class Dawn will show you how to set the pattern in a live demo and give you the history of how it all began with thanks to the Godfather of Creative Styling, Jerry Schinberg.

Demo: Capture the Look of a Bichon
Presented by Chris Pawlosky
This demonstration will guide you through the breed standard while showing how to apply simple techniques to compliment the standard using scissors and clippers.  We will share basic and detailed grooming information on the Bichon.  First demonstrating a show trim and then modifying it to create a shorter pet version of the correct profile.  The demonstration starts with shears and is followed by clippers, blades and universal comb attachments.  The finished product will be a manageable pet trim that compliments the dog and will please both you and your clients.

Demo: Scissoring Part 1 of 2:  Are Your Shears Right For You?
Presented by Pam Lauritzen
In this presentation and hands-on demonstration, Pam will share her proven ergonomic techniques and methods of choosing and using shears that will improve your scissoring techniques and speed while assuring neuromuscular health.  Also covered will be: developing the perfect grip- a demonstration of how to use blade and point angles to create lines and angles and guide blade scissoring. Bring a pair of shears with you to this class.

Demo: Scissoring Part 2 of 2:  Speed Scissoring
Presented by Pam Lauritzen
This session focuses on how to scissor faster while improving the quality of the trim.  Included is:  pivot point scissoring: a revolutionary scissoring technique for blending coats and achieving proper angulation. Guide blade scissoring: a state-of-the-art technique that will help you improve the smoothness of the trim. Body position in relationship to the task:  a sensational new technique developed by Pam that will improve the overall quality of the trim. And outlining: a time proven method of defining the shape and design of the trim.  A pioneer in the mechanics and art of pet styling, Pam will share her award winning and proven scissoring techniques and method with you. Bring a pair of shears with you to this class.

Demo: Abstract Creative Runway
Presented by Kelly Knight
With all of her wins and being the first abstract creative groomer to make the cover of Groomer to Groomer magazine, Kelly Knight has become the belle of creative runway competitions. In this class Kelly will demonstrate the entire process from concept to completion. She will explain how she finds and what she looks for in a design then demonstrate how she puts that design in. She will also explain and answer questions about everything from how she finds her attire to questions about runway and grooming. This class is good for anyone wanting to add this unique niche to their salon offerings. It is also a must for anyone thinking about competing in an abstract runway competition.

Demo: Breed Comparison: The English Cocker Spaniel vs The American Cocker Spaniel
Presented by Irina Pinkusevich
Learn the differences and similarities between the English and American Cocker Spaniel. We will review the breed history, development, and standards. We will do a step by step comparison between the two breeds. Learn tips and tricks to setting the proper breed profile for both breeds.

Demo: West Highlands White Terrier
Presented by Sue Zecco
In this demonstration Sue will instruct you how to groom the Westie to breed standard, including how to get the Westie head and body in perfect proportion.  If you want to learn how to get that perfect round head or how to make a carrot tail then this is the class for you.  All certification groups take the Westie as one of the short legged terrier breeds.

Demo: Lion Cut or Not?
Presented by Danelle German
Lion cuts are a popular groom style for cats, either because of owner preference or because a cat is severely matted or pelted. Know when a lion cut is the right choice and when it is not so as to avoid unnecessary dangers and incomplete grooms. In this seminar, Danelle will explain how to determine when a lion cut is appropriate, how long it should take to complete, and what methods and steps to follow for a clean, smooth finish.
